Major overhaul of a Brush generator in Varadero, Cuba

The photos show damage to the interface of the conductive and semi conductive tapes. The repair will involve cleaning all the damaged tapes and debris away and then repair the area.    

The second photo shows how the PD has burnt through the outer layers of the coil insulation. All loose material must be removed to then re-insulate.

These photos show the stator after repairs.  We have painted all the windings with a final coat of red pigmented air drying anti-tracking varnish. The windings now look like new.
